THE GRIP FORWARD PROJECT
Small comforts. Big impact.
At Loumie, we believe that even the smallest essentials, like a pair of grip socks, can bring comfort, safety, and dignity to someone in recovery. That’s why we created The Grip Forward Project, a donation initiative that supports hospitals and clinics in low-income and rural communities.
Why Grip Socks?
Non-slip grip socks are more than cozy, they’re a safety tool. In many under resourced hospitals, they’re in short supply, especially in departments where fall risk is high and mobility is limited. We focus on units like:
- Geriatrics
- Oncology
- Rehabilitation
- Maternal & postpartum care
Without basic resources like grip socks, patients are more vulnerable to injury during recovery. That’s where we step in.
How We Help
With every Loumie purchase, we donate grip socks to under-resourced healthcare settings. These socks provide:
- Traction on hospital floors
- Warmth during long stays
- Safety after discharge
Many hospitals rely on discharge closets — small storage spaces stocked with essentials for patients leaving the hospital, especially those facing financial hardship or housing insecurity. The items they receive may be the only clothing or supplies they have when returning home.
Our Mission
The Grip Forward Project provides grip socks to hospital discharge closets and inpatient units where they’re most needed, offering comfort and care in moments that matter.
